Another good result for Iain (from the BTA Website)

http://www.britishtriathlon.org/news/article.php?id=10784

Iain Dawson continued his winning form from the European Championships. The visually impaired athlete was a winner by over three minutes from Leicester’s Haseeb Ahmad. Dawson was followed during his preparation and performance by a camera crew from BBC East, and will be featured on TV next week.

He said: “The Swim was fairly tough. Lots of people were trying to swim in between us I had to fight not to lose position. It was a good result, and a good stepping stone to the World Championships in September.”

A great race from Iain.

The BBC East crew did a bit of filming on Friday night and in the transition/finishing area yesterday. I've been told the "feature" will have a promo on Look East tonight and to be shown in full on the lunchtime show tomorrow.

 - good thing that Iain had his best looking guide for this event Smiley

It was certainly fun! Baard did an excellent job as guide, especially on the tandem at 35mph when the officals couldn't decide which way to send us - let's just say there was a few cones, barriers, waving arms etc. involved!

As for the best looking guide contest, I am lucky enough to be able to choose between 3 with Liam and Matt as well as Baard. . . visual impairment can be a blessing!!

Yes, odd isn't it? Embarrassed Sadly British Triathlon are having some kit problems so I was in last years kit and they hadn't brought any for Baard which was a bit annoying, still promoted Tri-Anglia a bit!
