hi just outside norwich ,at strumpshaw there are a group of hills which are of a reasonable length and gradient .if you loop these up you can ride for hours its not hardcore climbing but thats not what your looking for ,better to achieve good climbing technique than long grinds which disrupt your core training  .remember to start off at a steady pace at the bottom of the climb and stay relaxed ,dont try to blast up it that is just a waste of energy . go on give it a bash .

Well done Iain, especially as no doubt you had to drag Matt round on the bike.  Wink Think I am correct in saying Iain has won every major title he has competeted for this year! No pressure for next week at the World Triathlon Championships then...

I have interpreted the text for the bike on the NNTri Club website; and came up with this map of the route:

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4007341

-Two laps with a foray into the park on the first lap down to the house and back.

Looks like there are about 40 entrants as Tri-Anglia!

Iain Dawson guided by Matt Ellis took GOLD medal in Tri6 category to be Wirld Duathlon Champs

Awesome effort on demanding course, especially for a tandem bike.

Dear fellow-mad-sea-swimmers,

I got an email forwarded to me this afternoon confirming the Pier to Pier this year (yippee!!).  Still no sign of the 2010 entry form online but hopefully that will appear sometime soon.

After the Sea Palling swim they added some small print to the rules... apparently if your name is "Gareth", then you're not allowed to wear a wetsuit for this event, or perhaps I misread that!  Anyway, I'll paste the email below.  Hope to see you all there!

Julia
