Bungay Black Dog Running Club always put on a friendly race and this low key annual 10k is no exception. It might be low key, but it is well established and makes use of the regularly used Broome 10k course which follows an out and back route. The first two kilometers are pretty flat, the third is mostly uphill, the fourth has a bit of a downhill section and the fifth is uphill, though of course these aren't major inclines. This does then make for a second half that is pretty much either downhill or flat, so with a bit of pacing a negative split is easy and a fast time is possible.
We had 8 members in participating, three of which finished in the top 10. Andy Walpole recorded the fastest 10k time for a Tri-Anglia member so far this year coming in at 35:51. The winner was David Miller of Woodbridge Shufflers with a time of 32:54 that is believed to be a course record and that despite a cold windy day. In total 184 finishers.
