Runner's Comments

Stage 7 must be one of the best to run – Saturday afternoon in glorious sunshine, sea views and a gentle breeze. Steve Rush stepped in at the last moment with cycle support and added a ‘social’ dimension to the proceedings.

We were slowly reeling in a runner ahead of us – team Just Seventeen I think, but she rounded a corner, lit the afterburners and was never seen again!

I was passed towards the end of the stage by two proper runners – at least they looked as though they knew what they were doing (more gazelle like than my own hippo inspired gait)

All in all great fun. Finished the stage in 1.19 which I was happy with. Thanks to Kerry and everyone who must have put in hours of work organising the day.

Apologies for my no show on Saturday, I had the pleasure of getting knocked off my bike.... All ok apart from a sore knee and a few bumps and bruises. Just what I need with under 2 weeks to my first tri....
