These sessions, which are designed to supplement your normal running program, are aimed at improving your speed over the shorter race distances, from 5k to 10k and are aimed at the intermediate runner who can run at a steady pace for around 45 – 60mins.
A typical session would include:-
- Mobility & dynamic stretches
- Structured warm up routine
- Main set - 30mins of interval work to suit your individual ability
- Cool down run
- Stretching and feed back
Progress will be monitored by regular time trial runs at various distances.
Requirements:-
- Winter running gear
- Drink
- As these sessions will be mainly on grass (sometimes wet), a good pair of suitably soled running shoes will be needed (no slicks!).
